This weekend the world was in for a treat as everyone awaited anxiously for most popular showdown around the word. The Classico of Spain Real Madrid vs Barcelona. The game was held at Barcelona's home stadium of Camp Nou. As always both teams waisted no time in giving the fans what they wanted. The game was a constant back and forth attack from both teams. Barcelona was doing its normal style of play known as the "tiki taka" which consists of frequent passing. However, despite being the away team Real Madrid was determined to get back in the race for La Liga due to its shaky start. Aside from the two famous teams being known as the best in the world. All eyes were on the 2 best players in the world. Cristiano Ronaldo and Leo Messi. Both players left it all on the field as always and once again proved why they are the most elite players in the world. Ronaldo opened up the score with a great finish after beating defender Danny Alvez and striking a bullet past Victor Valdez. Ronaldo celebrated with his famous gesture of telling the home crowd to relax that ronaldo was here. Leo Messi followed after a mistake from Pepe allowed Messi to simply put the ball in the back of the net. Both teams went to the locker rooms with a 1-1 draw. The second half also brought lots of excitement to the fans. Messi stunned the world and the "Madrilistas" with an amazing free kick from outside the box past the great Iker Casillas. Messi celebrated with his teammates after the amazing goal and motivated the team. However 5 mins later Ronaldo silenced the crowd with an equalizer to tie up the game after sloppy defending from the "cules". Ronaldo managed to score despite injuring his shoulder minutes before on a Bicycle kick attempt. All in all once again both Ronaldo and Messi stole the show with their heroics and skills.
